Join the “Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Societies” (AISS) info session on January 16 at 1:00–3:00 p.m. (Estonian time) to learn more about this unique Erasmus Mundus Master’s programme created in cooperation with three universities and civil society partners.

The info session is a great opportunity to hear directly from programme coordinators and ask questions about the curriculum, admissions, and all requirements. This programme offers a unique opportunity to study at three universities across Europe: Tallinn University in Estonia, Lusófona University in Portugal, and Tampere University in Finland.

About the AISS Programme

The AISS program is a collaboration between Tallinn University (Estonia), Tampere University (Finland), and Lusófona University (Portugal), alongside partners like Citizen OS, Estonian Anthropocene Center NGO, Lääne-Harju Municipality, and Inspirators!.

Taught in English, AISS integrates hybrid pedagogies and interdisciplinary projects with clients from industry, NGOs, and municipal sectors.

  • Focus on Sustainability: Cultivates professionals equipped to use AI for societal impact
  • Core Areas: Sustainability, artificial intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and participatory design
  • Real-World Projects: Hands-on experience with real clients, including NGOs and local governments

Course Structure

  • Semester 1 – Tallinn, Estonia: Core studies in sustainable societies, AI, data, and design
  • Semester 2 – Porto, Portugal: Electives and foundational courses
  • Semester 3 – Tampere, Finland: Interdisciplinary project with real clients
  • Final Semester: Professional placement and thesis work in Tallinn, Porto, or Tampere
