Our ethos of transparency, participation and deliberation runs through everything we do. Our team is non-hierarchical, and the code open source and platform design are backed by rigorous research.

Team and partners

Decision-making in our organisation is non-hierarchical and collaborative. The core team collectively makes all important organisational decisions, including setting and managing the budget. While everyone retains the autonomy to make decisions within their areas of responsibility, team members are encouraged to raise issues and initiate discussions on matters that impact the organisation as a whole.

We practise different decision-making methods, engage experts and target group representatives to expand our understanding, and put the best argument in the spotlight, not the loudest voice in the room. We also put a great deal of trust in those who are in charge and responsible for carrying out tasks, and the last word stays with them.

User research and consultancy

We work to engage our partners, project participants and users of our participation platform to make more inclusive and evidence-based decisions about our strategy, projects and platform. We welcome ideas, contributions and feedback, and we do our best to meet the needs of the people and communities that engage with our initiatives.
